本作は携帯モバイルアニメとして3月1日より配信が予定されている『こいけん! ～私たちアニメになっちゃった!～』の主題歌で、新谷良子ならではの”バンビポップ”全開といった明るい曲調となっており、聴いているだけで楽しくなれる楽曲に仕上がっている。

――2012年の第1弾として「AUTOMATIC SENSATION」が2月14日にリリースされました新谷良子「『こいけん!』という携帯ゲームがモバイルアニメになるのですが、その主題歌になっています。

『こいけん!』が高校生の女の子たちのゲームなので、『AUTOMATIC SENSATION』は、高校生らしさ、学校っぽさ、何をしても楽しかった無邪気なあの頃を音楽にしてみたいという気持ちを込めたかったんですよ。

なので、青空が似合う、ポップロックの元気な曲にしたいというところから制作が始まっています」――”バンビポップ”というより”バンビロック”と言っていいような曲調ですね新谷「最近、そんな感じになってきましたね。

おかしいなあ(笑)」――新谷さん自身はそういうつもりはないのですか?新谷「ロックっぽいことがやりたいという気持ちはあるのですが、はっきり”ロック”と言ってしまうと、ロック好きの方から文句が出そうで(笑)。

その文句に対して、『ロックですが、何か?』って言ってしまえるほどロック精神があるわけでもないので、”バンビポップ”というラインで守っていきたいなって。

ただ、元々ロックは好きなので、ロックに向かっていくのは仕方のないことかもしれません。

ロック精神はないんですけどね(笑)」――「AUTOMATIC SENSATION」を初めて聴いたときの印象はいかがでしたか?新谷「私にこの歌が歌いこなせるのかなって、一瞬思いました」――それは曲調的なところですか?新谷「最初に『アウッ!』って言うところがあって、これは仮歌の段階から入っていたんですけど、これはいらないんじゃないかなって……。

『だってこれ、恥ずかしいよ』って思うぐらい抵抗があったんですよ。

まあ、そこだけなんですけど。

何曲かデモが集まって、スタッフの方と一緒に聴いていたとき、最初に『アウッ!』って聴こえてきた段階で、これはないなって(笑)。

でも、サビが開けた感じになっていて、私が考えていた”青空っぽさ”は、この曲が一番出ていたので、まあ頭の部分はなくしてしまえばいいかなって」――でも結局は新谷「やることになってしまいました(笑)」――冒頭のシャウトもそうですが、私個人的には、それに続く「Oh! Yeah」の歌い方がすごく新谷さんらしい感じがしました新谷「JUDY ＆ MARRYの『バスルーム』という曲に、もっとゆるい感じの『いえ～い』というのがあって、歌詞カードに全部ひらがなで、しかもフォントも手書きっぽい感じで書かれていたんですよ。

それでYUKIさんらしさを出したのかなってずっと頭の中に残っていて、それをイメージしているところがあります。

今回の『AUTOMATIC SENSATION』の場合、たぶんもっとカッコよくもできたと思うのですが、これをライブで歌うとき、みんなの前でカッコよくできるかというと、絶対に恥ずかしいだろうなって(笑)。

だったら、もっと私らしさ全開でやったほうがいいだろうということで、ああいう感じになっています。

そういう意味では、たしかに私っぽいかもしれません」――特にサビの部分はループする感じで、かなり広がりのある曲になっていますが、実際に歌ってみていかがでしたか?新谷「本当に歌っていて楽しい曲なんですよ。

レコーディングのときもそうですし、PVの撮影でも、すごく気持ちよく歌えました。

ずっと上を向いていられる、とにかくポジティブな曲だと思いますし、ライブでも盛り上がれそうな曲なので、今からすごく楽しみにしています」

フォークソングの名曲「岬めぐり」に乗って、まるで鳥のようにパンティが空を飛ぶという第2話のエンディングシーンがアニメファンに衝撃を与え、賞賛を呼んだテレビアニメ「そらのおとしもの」。昨年6月に公開された初の劇場版『劇場版そらのおとしもの 時計じかけの哀女神(エンジェロイド)』のBlu-ray＆DVDが2月24日(金)に発売される。その発売前日の2月23日(木)に角川シネマ新宿で絶叫上映会が開催されることになった。

「そらのおとしもの」は、エッチな中学生・智樹と彼の前に突然現れた未確認生物イカロスが繰り広げるエピソードを描くラブコメディ。前述したパンティはもちろん、登場するキャラクターが女性ばかりだったり、ギャグとエッチが満載で、これまでに2シーズンにわたってテレビアニメ化され、この度、第3期の製作も決定した人気作だ。

「機巧童子ULTIMO」は、「善」の心を持つウルティモと「悪」の心を持つバイス、2体を中心とする機巧童子の戦いを描いたロボットバトルマンガ。最新8巻は3月2日に発売される。

昨年11月に行われたセガの人気ゲーム『サクラ大戦』シリーズの声優キャスト陣による武道館ライブ「サクラ大戦 武道館ライブ2～帝都・巴里・紐育～」の模様を収録したライブDVD・Blu-layの発売を記念して、スペシャル・イベント「サクラ大戦トークライブツ アー2012～ワーナー・マイカル・シネマズへようこそ～」を開催することが発表された。

イベントでは、ライブDVD・Blu-layの完成披露ダイジェスト上映会と裏話満載のトークライブほか、プレゼント抽選会といった様々な企画が行われる。

トークライブには、エリカ・フォンティーヌ役の日髙のり子、ロベリア・カルリーニ役の井上喜久子をMCに、サクラ大戦の声優キャストがゲストとして出演。

2月26日(日)のゲストは、真宮寺さくら役の横山智佐、九条昴役の園崎未恵、3月10日(土)のゲストは後日発表される予定だ。

福岡市東区の水族館「マリンワールド海の中道」に色鮮やかなデコレーションを背負ったヤドカリがお目見えし、来場者の人気を集めている。
飾りは特殊な樹脂を使って職員が手作りした。１４日のバレンタインデーやホワイトデー（３月１４日）にちなみ、チョコレートやバラの花をかたどっている。出来栄えは本物そっくりで、来場者は水槽に顔を近づけて眺めたり写真を撮るなどして楽しんでいた。

ヤドカリの貝殻を使ったデコレーションは季節やイベントに応じ、年間を通じて行っている。現在の飾りは３月１４日までで、その後は、卒業式バージョンがお目見えする予定。

英紙デイリー・メールによると、この芝刈り機を考案したのは34歳のフランス人デザイナー、カデグ・ブーシェさん。デザインが生まれたのは今から5年ほど前と少し前のことだが、最近になって同紙が紹介したことで、再び話題を呼んでいるようだ。

公 式サイトの作品ギャラリーの説明によると、もともと「ちょっとした冗談」のつもりで2週間で仕上げたというデザインは、1970年代にF1界で活躍した 「ジョン・プレイヤー・チーム・ロータス」時代の黒い車体を、芝刈り機で再現したもの。ちなみに、ロータスはかつて日本人ドライバーの先駆者として活躍し た中嶋悟や、アイルトン・セナも所属していたこともある古豪チームで、ジョン・プレイヤーは、当時ロータスのスポンサーを務めたブリティッシュ・アメリカ ン・タバコが販売するブランドのことだ。

この芝刈り機、装備されているタイヤやフロントウイングを見ると、まさにF1カーそのもの。しか しよく見てみると、コックピット部分に芝刈り機本体が搭載されていたり、後部ウイングが人の手を置くハンドルになっていたりと、芝刈り機の使い勝手を損な わないように、うまく融合したデザインになっている。

そして、ハンドル部には液晶モニターも搭載しているなど“最新鋭”の雰囲気も。これさえあれば「喜んで芝刈りをやろう」という気持ちになる人も、特に男性なら少なくないかもしれない。

気になるのは、実際に製品化されたとして、これがいくらで買えるのかだが、その答えはブーシェさんも含めてまだ誰にもわからない。残念ながら、5年前にデザインしてから現時点までCGの域を出ておらず、制作されたことがないからだ。

ブー シェさんはこのロータスバージョン以外にも、2000年代前半にタイトルを欲しいままにした、ミハエル・シューマッハ―在籍時のフェラーリの車体をベース にした赤と白の芝刈り機2パターンもデザインしているそう。意匠権なども含めなかなか難しい問題がありそうだが、果たして、実際に制作される日は訪れるだ ろうか。
