12日、タレントの桜 稲垣早希が、原宿にある「EVANGELION STORE TOKYO-01」の一日店長に就任。「よりエヴァを好きになってもらえるように頑張ります！」と意気込みを語るとともに、同じエヴァンゲリオン好きの吉 本の先輩で先日、福田萌との熱愛が報じられたオリエンタルラジオの中田敦彦に「二人でエヴァを愛して」とメッセージを送った。
この日も、式波・アスカ・ラングレーのコスプレで決めてきた桜 稲垣早希。エヴァンゲリオンとの初の“公式”コラボということで、意気込みも半端ではなく「関西在住なので、なかなかショップに来れなくて……。やっと来 れたと思ったら店長就任。中学生のころにエヴァにはまって、いまこうして携われることができて、本当に光栄です」と思いを爆発させる。

開店前の店先にはファンが長蛇の列を作るほど。「みなさん、いい顔していますね。エヴァが好きでたまらないって感じ。店長として、よりエ ヴァが好きになって帰ってもらえるように頑張ります！」と意気込みを語ったが、途中、アスカ役の宮村優子から激励メッセージが届くと破顔一笑。「うれし い。とにかく頑張らないと！」とさらに気合を込めて思いを述べた。

この日のイベントはバレンタインスペシャルというタイトルが付いているが「おすすめは色とりどりのコーヒーカップ。カップルでおそろいに するといいかも」と店長として提案。自身は「（おそろいのカップを買う相手は）いませんね」と残念そうな顔を見せたが、同じエヴァ好きの吉本の先輩、オリ エンタルラジオの中田の話が出ると「彼女さんにうってつけのものが勢ぞろいしているので、（一緒に来て）エヴァを二人で愛して！」とメッセージを送ってい た。

「EVANGELION STORE TOKYO-01」は、昨年11月にオープンした原宿にあるエヴァンゲリオンのオフィシャルストア。ファッションや雑貨などファンにはたまらないエヴァグッズが所狭しと店内に並んでいる。
