PCゲームメーカー・ニトロプラスのライヴイベント＜NITRO SUPER SONIC＞のマスコットガールとしてデビューし、現在はグラビアモデルやゲームキャラ、ガールズ・スリーピースバンド「第一宇宙速度」のヴォーカル・ギ ターとして活動するかたわら、現役大学生として勉学にも励んでいる女の子といえば、ご存知、すーぱーそに子。

彼女の、初音ミクを「歌ってみた」アルバムが、ついにリリースされた。

2011年8月に、19's Sound Factoryの「Dear」の「歌ってみた」動画をニコニコ動画に投稿するやいなや、同サイトの「歌ってみた」ランキングの1位を獲得。一躍「歌ってみ た」アーティストの注目株の仲間入りしたすーぱーそに子は、その後も、投稿した「歌ってみた」動画が軒並み10万再生を超える人気となっている。

そんな彼女のアルバム『SONICONICOROCK Tribute To VOCALOID』は、初音ミクなどのボーカロイド楽曲にすーぱーそに子が挑戦したもの。すでに30万再生を記録している「Dear」や「ロミオとシンデ レラ」のほか、本作のためにボーカロイド・クリエーターのナノウ（Lyu:Lyu）、19's Sound Factory、まらしぃの3人が楽曲を提供。彼らはデュエット＆ギター、ギター、 ピアノでも参加している。

そしてさらに、サウンドプロデューサーには元WANDSの安保一生を迎えたほか、一部楽曲には、高田雄一（MEANING / ELLEGARDEN）がベース、HAZE / 大宮洋介がドラム、声優の山本彩乃、五十嵐裕美、森谷里美、大原桃子、歌い手の花たんがコーラスとして参加するなど、かなり豪華で強力なゲストミュージ シャン陣が脇を固めている。

また、すーぱーそに子といえば、初音ミクのコスプレを公式に認められた初のキャラクター。そこで今回、初音ミクとのイラストコラボも展開する。まずジャケットは、本作のための特別描き下ろしの初音ミクとのコラボイラスト。

そしてさらに、初回生産限定盤には、すーぱーそに子のニコニコミュニティ『すーぱーそにコミュニティ』をイメージした「すーぱーそにコミュニティ メンバーズカード」や、オフィシャルイラストレーター・津路参汰のイラストに加えて、ニコニコ 動画の人気絵師（白皙、おはぎ、riria009、sime、ミヤ、えびら、ちほ、つくし、IRIASU）による描き下ろしイラスト集を同梱する。
