"A New Bottoms" Bandai Channel Free delivery of three half pieces

バンダイチャンネルは2月25日より、『装甲騎兵ボトムズ Case; IRVINE』、『ボトムズファインダー』、『装甲騎兵ボトムズ 孤影再び』3作品の前半パートの無料配信を開始した。いずれも新『装甲騎兵ボトムズ』の世界観を基に制作された新作OVAである。本編は約39分から49 分程度、無料配信ではこのうち前半部分およそ20分とかなりボリュームをプレビューとして公開する。
3作品は新世代ボトムズとして制作されたもの で、昨年秋から今年1月にかけて行われた劇場イベント｢ボトムズフェスティバル｣で上映されている。この2月からはBlu‐ray Disc、DVDの発売も始まる。第1弾は2月25日発売の『装甲騎兵ボトムズ Case; IRVINE』、今回の無料配信はこの発売に合わせてスタートした。

新世代ボトムズは、これまでのボトムズとは全く異なるスタッフが自由 な発想で制作した2作品『Case; IRVINE』、『ボトムズファインダー』、そして高橋良輔監督が新たに取り組んだ『孤影再び』の3作品から構成される。
『Case；IRVINE』 では、五十嵐紫樟監督に『舞-ＨｉＭＥ』シリーズなどの久行宏和キャラクターデザインと従来のシリーズより華やかな雰囲気を感じさせる。ATによるバトル シーンも手描きで表現するなど、手描きアニメへのこだわりも注目したい。
また、『ボトムズファインダー』は、ガンダムシリーズなどでお馴染みの重 田敦司監督。冒険要素に溢れたアクション作品に仕上がった。

いずれもボトムズの世界をどれだけ自由に新たな構築がされたが見どころであ る。無料配信でその作品世界だけでも確認したいところだ。そして、これにオリジナルスタッフによる新作『孤影再び』も加えて、同時に楽しむのも面白いだろ う。
BD、DVDは『Case; IRVINE』に引き続き、3月25日に『ボトムズファインダー』、4月22日に『孤影再び』の発売を予定する。
