先週5/9付オリコン“本”ランキングのコミック部門で首位に初登場した『ONE PIECE』の最新62巻（著・尾田栄一郎／集英社）が、今週5/16付で178.9万部を売上げ累計売上げ236.8万部を記録。2008年4月の同ラ ンキング発表開始以来、50巻（2008年6月発売）から13巻連続で200万部を突破した。同コミックの2週連続首位は60巻（昨年11月発売）から3 巻連続と、盤石の強さを見せつけている。

同作は、モンキー・D・ルフィ率いる麦わらの一味が“ひとつなぎの大秘宝（ワンピース）”を探し、大海原を航海する人気冒険コミック。昨年10 月からは、新連載「最後の海 新世界編」がスタートした。また関連本の『ONE PIECE STRONG WORDS 下巻』（著・尾田栄一郎／解説・内田樹／同社）が今週は2.4万部を売上げ新書部門の首位を獲得している。

その他今週のコミック部門は2位に『家庭教師ヒットマンREBORN！　34』、3位に『ぬらりひょんの孫　16』など、『週刊少年ジャンプ』 連載の人気コミック最新巻（全て集英社）が続々ランクインし、TOP10中8作を占めた。
